Sharon Langford has served as General Manager of Bob Parks Realty and was the Managing Broker of Sharon Langford & Associates (a company acquired by Bob Parks Realty in 1999). She received her B.S. degree with a major in marketing from Tennessee Technological University and a MBA from Memphis State University. She holds the professional designations of Certified Residential Specialist and Graduate Realtors Institute. Prior to beginning her real estate career in June 1985, she was Assistant Dean for the School of Business at Tennessee State University and taught marketing as an adjunct faculty member at Tennessee Technological University. She received Tennessee Outstanding Achievement award for entrepreneurship.

Sharon is committed to education and served as Education Consultant to the Tennessee Real Estate Commission from 1979–1995. Sharon was a charter member of the Real Estate Educators Association and the Association of Tennessee Real Estate Educators and received the “William C. Tune Award for Excellence in Education”. She has served as President of the Association of Tennessee Real Estate Educators and the Tennessee Real Estate Educational Foundation. Sharon is a member of the Board of Advisors, College of Business, Tennessee State University and Trustee, College of Business, Tennessee Technological University.

Sharon is passionate about children and animals with special needs and contributes time and financial resources to organizations which support them. She supports Make A Wish, Saddle Up!, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Club and Tennesee School for the Blind. She has been involved with the Elephant Sanctuary since the beginning and is a Patron and member of the Advisory Board. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Nashville Humane Association and is a lifetime member of the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. She received the Julia Colton Animal Welfare Award and Metro Council award for contributions to animal welfare.

In late summer of 2006 Sharon moved from Greeen Hills to a home she had built on her brother Samuel’s and her farm. She had the house and outside areas designed to accomodate the special needs and pleasures of the 8 rescue dogs who share her home. She commutes to our offices several days a week and works from her home office on other days.
